SHEER PLEASURE

We often revise the statement that less is more and for most part with this ethos you can never go wrong. Fashion is revising the Sheer Trend which is certainly less than more. Seen in Valentino, Opening Ceremony, Gucci and Louis Vuitton there isn't a brand that has not joined in creating a niche that is alluring, sensual, sexy but most of all powerful.

I love the sensuality and confidence you get from silk chiffon draped on the woman's body. It reminds me of the 1940's where women slept in silk and pearls. This look can be daring, add a simple lace bodice for a more demure take or layer with other fabrics for your desired style.

FUTURISM ET NEON

Embrace winter in futuristic and modern highlights of neon, for a fun and playful wardrobe. I love this shoot which was captured for this months Italian Grazia, I love how designers have retain colour into their autumn/winter collections and how fun fashion is for this season.

Fashion in Motion: Yohji Yamamoto

The V&A's presentation of Yohji Yamamoto Fashion In motion over the summer, was excellent and refreshingly raw. Models of all walks of life strolled casually on the runway smiling and even engaging in small banter juxtaposed with clothes that spoke innovation and craftsmanship. The next exhibition is for Danish Designer Peter Jensen on Friday should be fun :)

ME AND MY MIU MIU

Introducing Donna in dark-rose. It was love at first sight so I had to buy them. I love anything nude, and nude combined with plum is a match made in fashion. These babies are great for autumn/winter as well as spring/summer. I look forward to hopping out of a taxi in these bad girls, cliche or not these shoes are NOT made for walking x x x

DEAR COAT

One of the most exciting things about winter is shopping for that signature coat that makes you scream ooohhh la laaaa. I tend to work with my body and love anything that is contoured and tailored like Alexander McQueen and Alaia. This season see’s the oversized man coat, in the likes of Isabel Marant and Stella McCartney, Exaggerated shoulders in Miu Miu, and the bubble back tunic in Jil Sander and Burberry. Which ever is your style preference layer up with mohair and cashmere sweaters for a warm winter.

STYLE CRUSH: JULIA SARR-JAMOIS

Model turned Fashion Editor Julia Sarr-Jamois is most certainly one of the most stylish editors on the scene. Known for her au-naturelle Afro and colourful wardrobe, this lady mixes vintage and catwalk pieces, creating a fashion symphony that is unique and playful.
